China - Day 7

Today was a sad day for Maggie and Mama.  Aunt Katie and Uncle Tom left to go back to Connecticut.   We were so sad to see them go and can't wait until next Friday when we will see them again.  They were up and out by 7am for the long trek back to JFK.  Good thing Dad is staying here with us as this Mama still needs help getting her act together any time we need to go out!!

 

It was a miserable rainy day here in Guangzhou so we just hung out in the hotel room.  It turned out to be a blessing in disguise as it gave us LOTS and LOTS of play time.  Miss Maggie found her reflection in the mirror and had a blast playing with and talking to herself...

Seems that my Maggie is a party girl and because of that she didn't go to sleep last night until well after 10pm last night.  We were up early this morning to see Katie and Tom off and that meant we had to catch up on our sleep today!!  Besides that, missing Aunt Katie and Uncle Tom makes us sad and sleeping helps us to forget that they are gone :-(

We had a nice dinner in the hotel with our new friends and our guide.  There were no heads, tails or feet on any of the plates so I would say that it was a successful meal!  Tomorrow is our medical check up and I am anxious to see just how much Maggie weighs.  She is so tiny and has the skinniest little arms and legs.  She still won't eat anything but formula but we did make progress today when she let me touch her mouth to make funny noises while she babbled.  I'm hoping that by the time we come home she will be eating something solid!!
