It's been a really long day but we are finally in China!!!
We loaded up the car at 10am this morning
and were on our way for the trip of a lifetime.
After a few cocktails at Sammy's Beach Bar at JFK we were boarding a plane for Hong Kong -
just a short 8066 miles from home!!
A quick stop in Hong Kong and then on to the China Hotel in Guanzghou.
This is where we will call home for the next two weeks
Some disappointing news - I won't get Maggie on Sunday as I originally thought. Our guide Martin said it will be sometime on Monday afternoon and he will give us more details tomorrow.
We are exhausted and ready to crash. Goodnight from China!!
That is so disappointing. HUGS mama! Nice room! Looks like you are ready for her. Can't wait to hear about Monday. In the meantime get some good sight seeing in and have a great time.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you made it there safely. We loved the China Hotel. If you get a chance, check out the museum accross the street. Nice place to to walk around with Maggie for some bonding time too!
ReplyDeleteDad and Tom look pretty good despite the long trip. No pictures of you or Kate??? I love Maggie's crib. Hopefully all of you had a good night's sleep. Because of the delay, skiping Sunday won't work??? Jill loaded APP on Beth's phone so we are getting updates from them. Tim called today and we were all thrilled to hear that you had arrived safely.

ReplyDeletePS. Sorry you have to wait one more day. I know it's excruciating. But just think how much fun future celebrations are gonna be with two glorious moments happening on the same day. :)
